The office will be open Tuesday – Friday (Jan 2-5). I’m still on a 4-day per week schedule through Jan and possibly Feb, to complete the 2008 Good Timing Guide. Until further notice I will be doing client work Mon – Thurs, except during this holiday week.

 

We’re now beginning a period (Jupiter square Uranus) that can feel a bit like the sky suddenly falling. This cycle is commonly characterized by sudden and unexpected challenges. The good news is that these challenges have some growth potential to them, but you have to get past the feeling of stuff falling on you to notice. You might also feel overwhelmed by these challenges, much the way a worm feels when it gets picked up and moved to a better location by the hospitable owner of the place.

 

Generally speaking, that worm is too upset to notice that, instead of being under a pot with some tiny amount of dirt, it’s now in a place of abundant dirt with plenty of growth potential. It takes it awhile to get over the shock and notice that it landed in a much better spot. Similarly, this is what typically happens to us during this type of cycle.

 

So yes, challenging and changing situations will arise suddenly, but once the dust settles, look around for the great gift you just received. Somewhere in all that change, the Universe has sent you a major blessing for your accelerated growth. This is the year to become an expert at making lemonade out of lemons. If you lose your job, a major relationship, or an important deal unexpectedly, remember that the Universe is trying to give you a MUCH better one. Start looking for it immediately.

 

This cycle is also strongly related to freedom needs. So be sure to check in with yourself and see what freedom needs were not being met before you move forward. Do you have goals or dreams that you weren’t pursuing because of someone else’s needs? If so, it’s time to get them out and reactivate them.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            This cycle came into range on December 12^th and will peak on January 22, 2007. It will continue to stay in range through May 10^th when it peaks again. It continues to stay in range through early July, when it briefly goes out of range. It comes back into range in early September and peaks a last time on October 9^, 2007. It finally goes out of range in early November. So we’re pretty much dealing with this all year.

 

Generally when we see a cycle like this, with two or three peaks, the first time it peaks we see the set-up for the change that’s needed. This is usually when we see the outer change or challenge occur. The second peak usually marks the internal change that precipitated the outer change. By the time the last peak occurs, we see the resolution.

 

In the business world, this cycle is a negative secondary cycle on the economy and can coincide with downturns in the stock market. Be sure you have stops on your stocks, in case the market does drop.

 

Notice that this cycle coincides closely with the 5^th DAY of the Mayan Calendar from Nov 24, 2006 until Nov 19, 2007, which has breakthrough energies. This Jupiter square Uranus cycle is closely associated with creating breakthroughs as well. Generally the changes that occur now have been needed for quite awhile, but it took a major breakthrough to make them occur. With both these cycles occurring together, we should see plenty of breakthroughs this year.
