SUPER MOONS: TODAY SEPTEMBER 26^TH,

OCTOBER 25^TH / 26^TH AND NOVEMBER 24TH

 

The Full Moons in September, October, and November (Sept 26^th, October 25^th / 26^th and November 24^th) are known as Super Moons. This means the Moon is at or very close to its closest point to Earth at the same time we’re having a New or Full Moon. Super Moons are often associated with exceptionally strong tides, big storms, volcanoes, hurricanes, and earthquakes within 3 days (+/-) of the New or Full Moon. All of these Super Moons are Full Moons. 

 

We get 4-5 of these Super Moons per year, but this fall we also have them when the Moon’s declination (the number of degrees above or below the ecliptic, which is the path planets travel) is “out of bounds” or more extreme than usual. These out-of-bound declinations of the Moon are also associated with strong geo-cosmic stress, tsunamis, earthquakes and major storms. This means that there’s a double whammy going on here, both for geo-cosmic stress and for emotional tensions. It’s a good idea to be prepared for storms during these periods. This is a world-wide event, of course, so there’s no telling where they might occur.

 

The November 24^th Super Moon is just two days after Thanksgiving. This could suggest both intense emotions and challenging travel for the Thanksgiving holiday due to severe storms.  If you’re traveling for Thanksgiving, be prepared for delays and take plenty of patience with you.

MORE ON SATURN IN VIRGO: LESS CONSUMER SPENDING

September 2, 2007 - October 29, 2009

April 7 2010 – July 21, 2010

 

Saturn moved into the sign of Virgo on September 2, 2007 and will stay through October 29, 2009. It makes a second brief appearance in Virgo between April 7, 2010 and July 21, 2010 to finish up some incomplete business.

 

When Saturn changes signs, we get a new group of industries (Virgo, Sagittarian, Pisces and Gemini industries) which go through consolidation challenges. The list of the various industries that will consolidate is in your Q3 Newsletter and also in a recent email update. I’m not going to re-list those here, but I do want to call your attention to the fact that a lot of retail is either Gemini (especially discount stores like Walmart or K-Mart, books and anything related to information) or Virgo (especially higher quality, department stores). So many retail stores will be going through consolidation with Saturn in Virgo. This does not apply to food and gardening stores (Cancer industry).

This should give you a clue about the economy and where it’s headed now, since this means consumers will not be buying as much. Otherwise there would be no need for retailers to consolidate.

Computer and software companies are also Virgo industries, like Microsoft, and many of them will also undergo consolidation. Notice that Microsoft is now feeling urgency about the internet situation and how that’s impacting them.

In other ways, Saturn in Virgo is about cleaning up and getting organized. This is the time to go through your business and home and see what do you really need and want to keep. What can you get rid of? The more you do this, especially during the fall, which is traditionally a time to let go of things, the better off your business and life will be.

Lastly, Saturn in Virgo wants us to be responsible in our work habits. If we say we’re going to do something, we better do that by the date we agreed to do it, or negotiate another date we can meet. Details matter when Saturn is in Virgo and how something is accomplished matters as much as what is accomplished.

This is not the time to try and skate by without doing your homework as it won’t fly. The archetype of Saturn in Virgo is the boss or professor who expects you to turn in your work, done well and on time. Saturn is the representative of time and when it’s in Virgo, he notices when something is late. A BIG no-no!

LAST SAT, SEPT 22^ND,  BLUE COMMUNICATIONS STARTED

CORRECTION FOR SEPTEMBER IN THE GUIDE

 

OK everyone, it’s time to SLOW down and double check all the details. You’ll be blue if you don’t! Blue Communications started September 22^nd and this means we cannot outrun Mercury retrograde now. This is the time when we’re most likely to make mistakes and then have to fix them during the Mercury retrograde, which starts on Oct 11^th. So slow down and double check everything for mistakes. It’s a lot easier to find them now and correct them, before they get out.

 

Speaking of mistakes, there’s a mistake in the 2007 Guide for September. Blue Communications started on September 22^nd and continues through Sept 30^th, but is NOT shown. Blue Communications continues into October and those dates are correctly shown in the Guide.

 

If you have the Online Guide you can re-download the corrected September page. However, if YOU have a PRINTED Guide, you need to make a notation in your Guide about Blue Communications starting on Sept 22nd.
