ECONOMIC NEWS:   

 

Holy cow! Nothing like getting a bunch of tough economic news all at once! Today (Oct 25, 2007) the Wall Street Journal reported that there is a 10.2 month supply of single-family homes available around the nation. This is the largest supply of homes available since February 1988 and home sales in September dropped 19% from same month sales a year ago. Even though the economy is average or strong in many parts of the country, buyers are unable to get mortgages and this is leading many sellers into desperate situations. In some areas, prices are being slashed 10% or more.

 

In the next breath they reported that Merrill Lynch took an $8.4 billion write-down on mortgage-related securities yesterday, and that loss was $2.24 Billion larger than expected. Plus Bank of America (BofA) announced that they are eliminating 3000 jobs, most of which are coming from the global corporate and investment bank, which now employs 20,000 people. They are also forcing out their top executive in the investment banking unit. Less than a week ago BofA announced $1.45 Billion 3^rd quarter losses.

 

 What does astrology have to say about all this? In my last email update, I mentioned a period between Oct 22 and Oct 28^th (even the 29^th is very strong for this) when we would see large unexpected financial losses and that a stock sell-off was one of the possibilities. It still is a possibility, even though we had part of this already. But we’re now seeing these large losses coming from the financial institutions and this is only the beginning. It’s hard to keep an economy going strong if the financial institutions are going broke.

 

Plus this week, Pluto is at the Galactic Center. What has this got to do with financial losses? See below for a more detailed explanation of this, but remember that your money and your heart are intimately connected. In addition, with the Galactic Center, (at the heart of our galaxy) being a black hole, and Pluto being there, this is an invitation for something to get sucked into the black hole. In this case, it’s bad debt (Pluto) and the greed (Pluto) that fueled it.

Mortgage lenders and realtors who sold those homes by sucking people into lower priced mortgages that would reset to very high interest rates (like 14%) in two years knew at some level that this wasn’t going to fly. The integrity issues associated with those loans has come home to roost and we’re all going to pay for this. Why? Because we are all one, and there is nothing that any of us can do to others that we are not doing to ourselves and everyone around us.

 

It’s interesting that this issue is exploding with Pluto at the Galactic Center and on a day when we have a Full Moon and everything comes to light. This suggests we all have some forgiveness work to do around this situation, so our own finances and the economy can get moving again. As we all get more into integrity with our finances, and forgive ourselves and others for whatever financial issues we find ourselves in, the same will happen in the economy and we’ll begin to heal this. See below for some more suggestions to assist.

PLUTO’S LAST TIME AT THE GALACTIC CENTER:

THIS SUNDAY, OCT 28^TH

HEAL AND OPEN YOUR HEART THIS WEEK.

 

First of all, everything is always moving and that includes the Galactic Center! So Pluto is actually LAST at the Galactic Center on Sunday October 28, 2007 and it will be 2252 before it returns there again. All this week is an ideal time to set your intention to heal and open your heart to a deeper level, so you can live and work in more integrity with your heart and soul.

What’s the connection between money and our hearts? They both begin with self-love. Energetically, we all “write ourselves paychecks” by allowing ourselves to have a certain amount of money. The amount of money we give ourselves (via a paycheck from someone else, or our own business) is a reflection of how much we value and love ourselves. Our satisfaction with that paycheck we write ourselves shows how well aligned we are in this way.

When it comes to healing and opening our hearts, so our money issues can heal, we’re likely to encounter a need to forgive ourselves and others, heal some pain of losses or abandonment, and be willing to open to our passion again. Many of us have lost loved ones. Can we let go of the pain while honoring our memories? We may have had relationships end in less than ideal ways. Can we find the gifts in those relationships, forgive ourselves and the other person, so we can move on? We may even be in less than loving relationships now. Can we acknowledge how it’s reflecting our own energies and open our heart to a new possibility?

In feng shui, there’s no real difference between money and emotion (both water). They’re both the same energy. This is true in astrology as well (both Venus). You might not believe that healing your heart can help your finances, but it can. This week is the ideal time to do that, especially on or before Sunday, Oct 28^th.

To do so, here are some suggestions. Use your own intuition to guide you. Set aside some time to do this; at least 3-4 hours alone is ideal. If you have small children, make an agreement with your mate, partner, a parent, or sitter, to take over for a prescribed period of time while you do this. Make sure you will not be disturbed. Turn off your cell phone. Turn off the ringer for your landline.

If you are familiar with doing energy work, check in to see what will be most helpful for you to do. Set your intention to heal and open your heart to a deeper level, so you can love, live and work more passionately and in a deeper alignment with your heart. Then listen and follow your guidance. Do what you are moved to do.

If you have never done any energy work, here’s a process you can use if this resonates with you. Choose to be alone in a place that gives you the most support. This can be outside in a favorite setting, or in a room you greatly enjoy. Consider lighting some candles or creating soft lighting. You may want to play some meditation or soft music that can be in the background. Use your favorite incense, fragrance, or essential oil. This will assist with opening up. It’s important to be alone with your heart for this process.

 

Allow yourself to revisit the pain of lost loved ones. Remember that they love you too and they do not want you to be in pain. Honor the gifts and growth they gave you while letting go of the pain. If you have ended some partnerships or intimate relationships under less than ideal circumstances, allow yourself to see the gifts of those situations and send thanks to those people for their assistance in your growth. Forgive yourself and the other person for whatever didn’t work out well. Remember that the other person was just reflecting your own energies that you didn’t want to express.

 

If you stick with this process long enough, eventually everything that needs to be healed, including family, friends, partners, co-workers, and neighbors will all come to the forefront. Allow the process to proceed at it’s own pace. Each person will come up as it’s time to deal with them.

 

When this is complete, start talking to your heart and telling it that you are ready to open your heart to a deeper level, so you can live more passionately and in alignment with what it wants you to do. Sit and wait. See if you can feel your heart open more. Maybe you will even feel your passion again.

 

Is there someone who you used to feel passionate toward? If so, remember the person and see if those feelings will reappear. It’s not that you need to act on them. It’s simply important that you be able to feel your passion again. That is YOUR passion and you can use it to feel passion for someone else, your life in general, or anything you do. If you’re now in a passionate relationship, then this will be easy. Allow your heart to feel the intense joy of your passion. You’ll know when this happens as you will undoubtedly start smiling, and you may even laugh with joy!

 

Tell your heart you want it to remain more open, so you can live more passionately and be in a deeper alignment with it. Your heart will love you for this! Give your heart permission to feel more and to report to you what it’s feeling regularly. It takes courage to do this; choose to be bold and daring. Ask your heart if it has any suggestions for you and listen to them. Be sure to bless your heart for doing this process with you before you finish.

 

If you have a physical heart problem, remember this is mirroring your emotional heart. When you make changes to heal your emotional heart, your physical one will find new ways to heal itself. Be open and attentive to this.

 

And soon, you will notice some amazing changes to your finances. Can’t get a mortgage or sell your home now? Can’t find a job? Don’t have enough clients or customers? Have a big tax bite or a bunch of unexpected expenses? Wait and see what happens after this. When you open to the love, passion and flow of your heart, you open to the flow of the Universe. After all, the Universe creates from the energy of love and joy and so can YOU.
