ECLIPSES COMING SOON!

 

August 28^th we have a total lunar eclipse (Full Moon eclipse) and on September 11^th we have a partial solar eclipse (New Moon eclipse). Both of these eclipses are associated with issues concerning paperwork, or troubling news, possibly related to family or health matters. If you have a planet or personal point in your chart at or close to 4 degrees 46 minutes of Pisces or Virgo, the August 28^th eclipse is likely to signify a major event for you.

 

These events, usually related to what’s above, can occur as much as 30 days before the actual eclipse. They usually impact your life for 3-6 months and sometimes longer.

 

The August 28^th eclipse is particularly a doozy, as we also have Mars square Mercury, the Moon and Mars, while being opposite Jupiter. Watch out for road rage and crazy driving. This eclipse is set up for unexpected breakthroughs, but if you choose not to have one, you’re likely to have a breakdown.

 

If you have a planet or personal point in your chart or your business’ chart at or near 18 degrees 25 minutes Virgo or Pisces, then the Sept 11^th eclipse is likely to bring a major event your way. UNDERSTANDING THE SUB-PRIME MORTGAGE MESS

 

Here we are in Venus retrograde re-valuing the sub-prime mortgage loans and securities. How did this mess happen and what can we expect in the next few weeks?

 

First of all, we can thank the rating companies for starting this mess with little fanfare back in 2000. S&P, Moody’s, Fitch decided that mortgages with “piggyback loans” (these are typically taken out to cover the lack of a down payment or enough of a down payment on top of the regular mortgage) were just as safe and no more likely to default as traditional mortgage loans (which have equity with a down payment).

 

Of course this assessment turned out to be hugely wrong, and there is now a $1.1 trillion sub-prime mortgage market that is in the process of failing rapidly.

 

Since the sub-prime mortgages were sold as securities and usually with top ratings, these failing mortgages have infiltrated an enormous number of investor portfolios via products that should have been substantially safe. These products have actually been sold globally, so even international securities aren’t safe.

 

Now that’s the part of the mess that we see the most of in the papers. The other part is that real people with less than great credit and not enough money for a typical down payment bought these homes and many of them will or have already been increased to a higher interest rate, usually after the first two years. Many of these people were assured they could refinance when that time came, but most of them are not able to refinance. Since housing prices have fallen, many of these families owe more money for the house than its present value, (Venus retrograde shows re-valuing.) and they’re not able to get a loan they can afford to pay.

 

As of December 2006, First American CoreLogic, a housing and mortgage data supplier, found that nearly 7% of 32 million households studied (about 2, 240,000 homes in the study) owed more than their homes were worth. An additional 4% had home equity of 5% or less, and since housing prices have gone down since then, even more equity has been erased. It’s estimated that lenders will acquire at least 760,000 homes through foreclosure this year and about 935,000 homes in 2008. That’s up from an average of about 440,000 foreclosed homes per year in 2000 – 2006.

 

So the houses are being turned back to the banks, which of course helped them get into this mess in the first place. Now that banks and mortgage companies are not able to sell those sub-prime mortgages like they used to, there’s a major slowdown in providing credit.

 

Astrologically, we first have the black hole of the Galactic Center in action all through November 27^th, and we’re seeing plenty of money going down a black hole. (Venus has been trine to Pluto and the Galactic Center recently.) This might seem like the worst of it, but we still have to get through Venus opposite Neptune, when it usually looks like money is disappearing or dissolving. This period can be associated with con artists, financial deception, and just plain confusion and misunderstanding.

 

We’re already in range of Venus opposite Neptune and it will be exact on August 25^th. This cycle stays in range as Venus goes direct on September 8^th and then peaks again on September 21^st. It doesn’t get out of range until October 3^rd, suggesting we’ll see confusion and financial disappearing acts in the markets for most of the rest of this year.  

 

If you are gambling that the stock market will go up again and end up for the year, you are likely going to lose. After we finish Venus retrograde, we still have Mercury and Mars retrograde to get through and the latter is notorious for slowdowns in the economy and drops in the stock market.

There’s a mistake in the 2007 Guide for September. Blue Communications starts on September 22^nd and continues through Sept 30^th, but is NOT shown. Blue Communications continues into October and those dates are correctly shown in the Guide. Blue Communications is a time to double check all details, as we are generating a lot more mistakes than normal during this period.

 

We’ve corrected our processes for how this error occurred, and we changed the ONLINE Guide to show Blue Communications Sept 22 – 30. If you have the Online Guide you can re-download the corrected September pages.
