OUR DOLLAR AND GOLD: THE CAT IS OUT OF THE BAG!

 

Hopefully you heard that yesterday gold went to $975 per ounce after the dollar dropped to a new low of $1.52 against the Euro on Thursday. Stocks reacted to this by dropping over 300 points on the DJIA. The Wall St Journal had a large, front-page article yesterday about the US dollar and how its loss in value is creating world-wide havoc.

 

The US dollar is used in 86% of the world-wide transactions for trading. So even trades that don’t involve the US at all are still impacted by the devaluation of the dollar. All central banks have reserves of the US dollar and this means their reserves are devaluing. They’ve been doing this for some time, but since the dollar value dropped through the $1.50 level, there’s a psychological hit going on as well. No one knows where the bottom is.

 

I’ve been warning about this for some time and urging you to get gold, silver, or other metals. Now we can also see that wheat is going through the roof, and oil continues to go up because it’s priced in dollars, which are worth LESS. Gold will continue to go up through this year, probably to at least $1200. Early next year or late this year, when the dollar crashes, the price of gold could go to $2000 per ounce. So you can still buy gold as a way to store wealth and probably do fine as an investment too. Do it NOW if you’re going to do it. Otherwise, you will ride this long devaluation down for a long time.

 

Remember there are two astrological situations that show this major upheaval for the US dollar. First, the US chart shows a major debt crisis (Pluto overhead opposite the USA Venus) in February 2009. That’s only 11 months away. That debt crisis could be a couple of possibilities: a) the sub-prime mortgage mess finally bottoms; b) the US could default on its Treasury bonds. Either or both of these could occur, leaving the US dollar in shambles. You could go to the bank one day and find that your dollar is now worth 50 cents or maybe 30 cents. (If this sounds like a 3^rd world country, just notice that our elections have gone that way too.)

 

On top of that, the chart of the Federal Reserve shows enormous permanent changes. The Fed’s Pluto at 0 degrees Cancer is now being opposed by Pluto overhead (transiting Pluto). The Fed’s SUN at 1 degree Capricorn will soon have Pluto overhead sitting on top of it. What does this mean? There will be a major transformation of the Federal Reserve and I’m not just talking about a new leader. That could be part of it, but if that occurs, it will only be a small part of it.

 

The Federal Reserve is NOT a Federal agency. The Fed is a privately owned corporation which has no oversight, no elections and no audits. This was theoretically done to isolate the money supply from politics and make the banking system more stable. However, from the standpoint of the US Constitution this organization is illegal and even President Wilson regretted signing it into existence. He knew that if the public ever realized what had happened to their banking system, they would be “up in arms,” so to speak. This is because the private owners of the Fed profit from every American citizen.

 

Over time, changes occurred to the banking system, which made it harder for the Fed to control the money supply. I won’t go into these changes as it would take too much time, But essentially, the banking system was allowed to create money at an unprecedented rate (easy credit!). Plus other investment vehicles created enormous amounts of trade based on margin. These factors and others have over time eroded the power of the Federal Reserve to control the money supply. Several years ago, the Fed even stopped reporting the worldwide money supply. Why? How about the fact that it was so large that it was drawing major concern to itself?

 

Now the Fed is faced with a major problem. It can no longer control the money supply, which is one of its primary functions. It can still raise and lower the interest rates, but that’s not enough of a tool to really help. And what is the problem that really needs help? The US is facing a SOLVENCY problem, not a liquidity problem.

 

Essentially, the US is bankrupt, but no one’s going to talk about the fact that the emperor has no clothes. The only reason the US is making its bond payments today and for quite a few years, is because the US government “borrows” the money from the Social Security Administration to pay off the treasury debt and other payments that are needed. But it’s never going to be able to repay the Social Security funds. We all know this. At some point the gig will be up. And with paying for the Iraqi war, it’s possible that the gig will be up sooner.

 

About 6-8 years ago, one of the top financial astrologers in the world, Bill Meridian, predicted the US would default on its treasury bonds no later than 2015. It’s possible it will still wait until then to do so, but it could happen sooner.

 

Now what has this got to do with the value of the US dollar? Plenty. The dollar has not been backed by a metal standard, such as gold or silver, since the early 1970s. This is what allowed the banking system to create such easy credit and for the US government to “print money” without limits. Our dollar is now backed by the “Full Faith and Credit of the US Government.” Do you see the problem? The entire world is working with a currency that is backed by a bankrupt country.

 

What will happen with the Fed? I can think of a few possibilities. One is that the Fed will be completely revamped and hopefully it will no longer be set up to make money off of every American citizen for a private group of individuals. Another possibility is that the currency of the country will change. Will it become the Amero (for Canada, the US and Mexico)? There’s a lot of talk about this and it’s certainly possible. I believe it will depend on what the US public allows. It’s important to be involved politically now, as otherwise you are allowing others to choose your economic future.

 

With the Wall Street Journal article yesterday (Friday, Feb 29^th) front and center on the first page, the cat is out of the bag. The article talked about the dollar’s value decreasing significantly and quoted various people saying the dollar is  “becoming worthless”. It won’t be easy to change the US dollar though, as the article explored the impact of that. But you can be sure the situation won’t be allowed to remain the way it is now. This is precipitating a world currency and trading crisis.

 

This is ONLY THE BEGINNING. This is the breakdown phase that is necessary for a new, sustainable economy to emerge. Yes there will be some rough spots, just like when you start remodeling a house. We should see this phase let up a bit in mid-June through late November when Pluto moves back into Sagittarius to finish cleaning up a few ethical dilemmas. But it will be back at in late November and early next year in full force. So if you haven’t already done so, get your assets protected now before they lose more value.
